At BucketBudget, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We believe in being transparent and honest about our practices — no confusing legal jargon, just clear information.
Name and email address — when you create an account
Financial data — budget amounts, expenses, and net worth that you manually enter into the app
Payment information — processed securely through Stripe; we never store your credit card details
Basic usage data — to help us improve the app and make it work better for you

We never sell your personal information to anyone — ever.
256-bit SSL encryption — All pages use bank-level encryption to protect your data in transit
Secure data storage — Your financial information is encrypted at rest using industry-standard protection
Stripe payment security — Payments are processed by Stripe (PCI DSS certified); we never see or store your full card details
No data selling — Your financial data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing
Read-only bank access — When you connect your bank account, we use read-only access — we can never move your money
Your data, your control — Export or delete your data at any time from your account settings
We use minimal cookies to keep you logged in and improve your experience on BucketBudget.
We do not use advertising cookies. Your data is for your budget, not for advertisers.
Stripe — We use Stripe for secure payment processing. Their privacy policy applies to payment data.
Affiliate links — Some links on our resources page are affiliate links. These are clearly disclosed, and using them helps support BucketBudget at no extra cost to you.
Delete your account and data — You can permanently delete your account at any time from Account Settings → Delete Account. You'll be asked to type "DELETE" to confirm. Once confirmed, we send a confirmation email to your address and then permanently remove your account, login credentials, and all associated data — including your transactions, income records, budget settings, savings goals, linked accounts, net worth snapshots, monthly summaries, and household sharing invitations. Deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone. You can also email us to request deletion if you're unable to access your account.
Export your data — You can download all your financial data at any time using the CSV export feature in the app
BucketBudget is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
